Are you a book lover looking for your next captivating read? Here are five of Red Fox Writer's favorite books. Grab a copy, get cozy, and settle in for a great read.

A Secret History of Witches by Morgan Louisa. Classified under science fiction and fantasy as a genrea, I think this reads more like historical fiction with a dash of fantasy in it. Secret History follows five generations of women whose magic makes them powerful but means many around them see them as a threat.
Good Girl Complex and Bad Girl Reputation by Elle Kennedy. Okay, this is a two-fer. These light romances weave through stereotypes and social stigmas. I honestly picked up Good Girl Complex on a whim thinking I'd give it a try but it wasn't my normal read. I found myself thoroughly caught up in the story and really enjoyed the read.
Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati. Clytemnestra was the wife of Agamemnon, and this story follows her life. And as noted in the novel "Queens are either hated or forgotten. She already knows which option suits her best..." If you're a fan of Greek mythology, I would recommend this powerful queen's story.
The Copper Crown by Patricia Kennealy. This is an older book so you'll likely only find it in a used bookstore or second-hand on a site like Amazon. But this is one of the few novels I've kept on my shelf for years. Kennealy deftly weaves Celtic mythology and legend with science fiction as Aeron becomes queen of Keltia after a tragic event and unleashes her rage against those who wronged her. Great story, great characters. I will never not recommend this book. (And there are two others - Throne of Scone and the Silver Branch.)
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I know this is a popular pick but the concept behind the story is intriguing, the characters engaging, and who doesn't love a story where people bond with dragons? I know I do.
Everyone's taste in books is different, but I hope you find something unexpectedly delightful in this list.
